The accessibility to the blockchain-stored data is simply an added bonus of using it as our own manufacture, stock and supply chain system. With Scotch whisky production being continually audited by HMRC, this provides an incorruptible ledger for producer and consumer alike.

It's certainly true that you can share some provenance without blockchain but it's easier to trust when you have it. Then once it's in place, our options for preventing fraud and parallel trading increase dramatically. Keep watching @DistilledID to see how we're solving this!

Very interesting, @adelphi1826, @FusionWhisky, @arcnetHQ - I’m struggling to see how the use case of accessing a data store (on provenance) requires #blockchain, however I’m 100% on board with its use as an anti-counterfeit ledger 📝
