Azerbaijan continues to destroy the public and private property in Artsakh. According to the recent footage, this time the historic government building of Artsakh has been destroyed. Unfortunately, the international community chooses to turn a blind eye on the vandalism and destruction of the cultural and religious heritage of Artsakh, which is nothing short of hypocrisy and double standards.

Fraud detection deployment in welfare (and other areas) is in itself largely based on bias and prejudice, racist views and vilification of harmed communities. I hope growing evidence of harms shifts discourse to outlawing welfare surveillance by default. theguardian.com/society/2024…

Civil society has been working for years to denounce the use of AI in Europe to oppress people in all forms (fraud detection used to disintegrate families, predictive policing against kids) The @EP_HumanRights delusional stance is beyond baffling - and a dangerous step back
Started listening to the @EP_HumanRights presentation on ‘Artificial intelligence (AI) and human rights: Using AI as a weapon of repression and its impact on human rights’. Three case studies focus on China, Russia, Iran. Why take a good look in the mirror instead? #AIAct🙃

I have co-written a piece about anonymisers such as VPNs and Tor Project with my colleague @DrWhax (Jurre) from @AmnestyTech. We argue how Pakistans ban on ‘unregistered’ VPNs will axe all digital freedoms and enable a sweeping mass surveillance state. thenews.com.pk/print/1256432…
