Last week, at a Best Western in Sioux Falls, Joe Biden kissed a woman who wasn’t his wife on the mouth. That, and other observations about the return of the Bidens. nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…

When will we get RCV results for ME-Gov and ME-2 primaries? "Exact day, I’m not sure," official says on livestream, but aiming to complete before Juneteenth holiday next Friday. Officials note there is lots to do before they even start tabulating. youtube.com/watch?v=KobdeXwm…

Is this a parody account?
You’re not allowed to watch the World Cup if you’ve ever spoken out against DEI.

Me passing half a dozen places to buy lobster on my 10 min commute to work without realizing I’ve been in Japan this whole time.
Trump lies that before he came around, "you had go to Japan to get a Maine lobster"

The story in Maine isn’t whether Graham Platner can mobilize the “bro vote,” but whether Sen. Susan Collins can continue to hold onto ticket-splitting women voters, thanks in part to Platner’s weaknesses. Read @amyewalter's latest column: cookpolitical.com/analysis/n…

It’s not necessarily “more oppo” as much as people who are reluctant to speak get compelled to speak the closer someone gets to power.
Yes. The GOP had Oppo on Platner. I am not sure if journalists have their hands on the same stuff now or not; they didn't in early May. The GOP likely has more Oppo on him now & journalists definitely have more tips.

Paige Loud, a Democratic candidate who ran in Maine’s 2nd congressional district, calls Graham Platner’s strategist a “misogynist, sexist piece of shit who’s a terrible liar.” #MaineSenate

Love this mention in @JoyceWhiteVance's Substack -- and its prompted discussion inside @MaineVillager about whether we should make our slogan: "Come for the election insight, stick around for duckling rescues." open.substack.com/pub/joycev…

Here's the darling duckling rescue story @JoyceWhiteVance mentioned, by the brilliant @lucia_graves. Whoever got to marry Lucia sure is lucky (it me!). midcoastvillager.com/life/ca…

Genuine Q: Is there any harm to Dems in others distancing themselves from Platner? Doesn’t seem like Platner would mind, might even help him. Same for Maine voters, unless maybe if they go full nuclear en masse? Do parties actually need to present a fully unified front?
Warnock on Platner: “I have not endorsed in that race" “He has raised a number of issues that speak to where people are living and the struggles that they’re having … and that has struck a nerve with the people of Maine,” Warnock added. “But he’s also had these other issues that have emerged, and that too has struck a nerve.”

The Dem comms staffers' version of the naked-for-a-test-you-haven't-studied-for anxiety dream?
I had a dream I was Graham Platner’s press secretary

First word from @Genevieve_207 since the primary ->
I will never vote for a man who abuses women to be my representation in government. I will not elevate them in their pursuit of power.
