Healing is rarely an event, a singularity we can point to. It is a process, an unfolding over time, a turning toward the place of injury for as long as it is needed.

Grief is a wild/unpredictable ride. Every now again I notice moments of normalcy finding its way back into my life each time it feels like I’ve just come up for air. Thankful to breathe in that air in deep today.

Go easy on yourself. You’re just a bigger version of a tiny person who learned how to do a whole lot of things to make themselves safe.

Even if you’re simply correcting your own thoughts. If you misgender in your head, stop, restate the sentence with correct pronouns and carry on. Gotta do the work to create those new neural pathways.
normalize correcting people if they misgender someone in conversation, even if that person is not in the room

very disappointed that I didn’t find out until I moved to Arizona that there is a such thing as JUMPING cactus that attack when you get too close and once they feel moisture they start to grow into you so you have to immediately rip them out???!

IMPORTANT: Breonna Taylor is not listed as a victim in this idictment. The wanton endangerment is for the bullets entering other peoples apartments through the walls. The initials of the victims listed did not include BT. This indictment ignores the murder of #BreonnaTaylor.

Maybe one day my sexuality won’t be politicized by family, but today is definitely not that day.

Well now I would like to be marvelized, please.
Sometimes my daughter says “let’s marvelize the cat!” and then we lie down with the cat and pet him and tell him he is marvelous, the end

You, me, and a frozen II ballad. Fuck me up. Feel weird about it, sure, but you know what I mean. Lean in.
*screams inside my heart*
The Oklahoma County Jail Trust accepted $34 million in CARES Act funding in a 7-2 vote. This funding was meant to help our community get back on its feet, not build a fancy new lobby for a jail. This isn't leadership, it's outright theft. okcfox.com/news/local/part-o…

Now feels like a good time to remind people that protest is a part of the DNA of the NBA. They've never just shut up and dribbled. In 1958, Elgin Baylor became the first player to boycott a game because of segregation.

There’s been confusion on the amount of CARES funds going to the jail: ➡️$34 million for...??? ➡️$3 million - HVAC upgrades ➡️$3 million - hazard pay ▶️TOTAL: $40 MILLION of your CARES money being sent to the jail. I voted no on every item.

So gross. I walked in at 9:01 am and the vote had already taken place. They didn’t wait for me and they didn’t let my Chief ask questions. We always wait for each other. I’ve waited for Calvey & Maughan many times. These men don’t deserve to represent you.
Here is the very rushed vote from Oklahoma County Commissioners to transfer CARES Act money to the jail. Passed 2-1, Commissioner Carrie Blumert wasn’t even seated at vote.
