Anyone from my contact list attending #DDW2022? I am presenting on 24th May, 5:15 pm at “25 - San Diego Convention Center”. Would love to meet and discuss about ongoing research. Say hello if you get a chance.
Our recent research article on variation in oral microbiome composition of smokeless tobacco consumers is available online now. frontiersin.org/articles/10.…
This study also compares tobacco-associated microbiome with oral cancer (OSCC) associated microbiome. @vks_mBioSys@ashoks773
Interesting study about primate gut mycobiome composition and bacterial-fungal association. Intriguing observations in this study will provide lot more directions to explore human gut mycobiome. Congratulations @ashoks773

So excited to share our latest research published in npj | biofilms and microbiomes dlvr.it/SLsZ8n. We explored gut fungal communities (mycobiome), a poorly understood fraction of the mammalian gut microbiome.

Data indicates a stronger influence of the external environment on fungal communities in the primate gut. However, those fungi are largely transient (short-lived) or long-term colonizers remain unknown.
This work would be a significant addition to the existing knowledge on the fungal composition as well as bacterial-fungal interactions in the primate’s gut. @lab_gomez@Nature_NPJ#microbiome#fungi
