The study presents the high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of Tamarindus indica (known as Imli in Hindi), offering valuable insights into the evolution of triterpenes and tartaric acid biosynthetic pathwaysโimportant compounds associated with the medicinal, nutritional, and nutraceutical properties of tamarind.
