One of @ProxySQL’s most underrated features: transparent query comments for observability, zero app code changes.
You can automatically tag queries by service, user, feature flag, or environment and suddenly your monitoring (pg_stat_statements, performance_schema, Prometheus, etc.) becomes crystal clear.
Debugging production traffic goes from painful to straightforward.

We are releasing ProxySQL 3.0.9 and 3.1.9.
This release cycle focuses on security, latency under backend-pool pressure, PostgreSQL correctness and performance, MySQL/MariaDB compatibility, and build and packaging hardening.
Highlights include:
• Two critical security fixes
• A new backend-pool session scheduler to reduce starvation risk under contention
• ParserSQL as an optional AST-based parser engine
• PostgreSQL improvements around DNS caching, SCRAM-SHA-256 authentication, query digests, and startup options
• MySQL, MariaDB, Aurora, Galera, and packaging fixes
• A TSDB dashboard fix in 3.1.9
ProxySQL 3.0.9 remains the Stable Tier release recommended for production deployments.
ProxySQL 3.1.9 is the Innovative Tier release for users who want FFTO and TSDB in addition to the Stable core.
