I always feel lucky when I can tell there's a new controversy on Twitter, and I have no idea what it's about.
Anything you can use the word "controversy" to describe tends, when investigated, to be uninteresting. This is especially true of Twitter controversies.

So true! We are so dependent on open source technologies, yet we take it for granted. @field_buzz wouldn't have a great software platform for emerging economies if we couldn't use all these great opensource technologies like @djangoproject , @nginxorg, @PostgreSQL, @ubuntu etc.

One of the most miraculous things about our tech infrastructure is the degree to which it depends on open source software. We mostly take this for granted, but a time traveller from 1975 would be very surprised by it.
