This makes me not want to waste any time using it. Who knows if it's silently sandbagging me. Is tinygrad close enough to frontier LLM for it to? Just makes the model completely untrustworthy.
mythos will be bad ON PURPOSE on ai "frontier llm research" tasks, this is very very sad for the research community also the fact that this is un purpose not visible to the user is crazy

I have not had any success with optimizations so far, LLMs usually generate far worse code for this specific use case. Models just aren't very good yet at things not in the training set.

i think the issue has always been just time and eagerness, almost everything can be optimized but is it worth people’s time? perhaps the best unlock with ai is precisely this

Makes sense tbh.
Ladybird is moving into a new phase as we work toward our first alpha release. We are tightening how code enters the project: going forward, code changes will only be introduced by project maintainers, and we will no longer accept public pull requests. ladybird.org/posts/changing-…

The biggest pivot you can make as a founder is building something that finally makes you feel like yourself.

Maybe because vscode is so slow.

pretty much. I have a hard time understanding why not vscode.

I use AI tools daily, but almost all production code still by hand.
I regularly use ai. It's just these dumb takes. People code by hand all the time. In fact, my assumption that it is still the dominant form of meaningful code production today.

560x speedups on even minor features feels great.

Experimenting with less intrusive auto complete suggestions. Local code complete output also baked in.

Minimal unsaved file indicators.

Yes.
Deputy Chief of Mission Aaron Snipe recently met with Shoji Yutani, CEO of Weyland-Yutani Corporation, to discuss greater 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 coordination in deep-space exploration. With companies like Weyland-Yutani considering new large-scale terraforming and atmosphere-processing projects on distant planets, ties between government and private industry have never been stronger. #weylandyutani #LV426

Find in project, or anywhere on disk. Fast for large repos. Huge repos and disk-wide search still needs tuning (200k matches). 400k matches takes a while but finishes.
