This fortune cookie paper is far too wise for all of us.

Always have to enjoy when vscode shows off float math in action.

Seems my weekend has been planned for me. I bought the original @ff3dprinters AD5X release and this showed up today as an upgrade to the latest. So far the reel holders look like a great upgrade with more tension and pull back. Not sure on the heater block yet.

I also can't complain with an upgrade being sent without ordering it. It will be fun to install this later this weekend though.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-ordered via @walmart, nice and simple process thankfully. I would have preferred ordering from @gamestop but they recently closed their store in my area and I am not driving 50mi to find the next nearest store.

It's awesome to see some of your products being demoed at large shows and being very well received by end users! @Trainworld came to the @ModelRectifier booth at the Amherst train show last month for a quick demo of the Nexxt products I've been developing. youtu.be/SW2CQXeYMq8?si=Nn4L…

Wasn't expecting this to show up today, but I won't complain about having some awesome coffee!

Delivered a day later than the USPS tracking claimed it was, but it's an awesome addition to the desktop and shows I need to improve the stats! Thanks @_MaxBlade for the awesome delivery for Christmas!

One (of three) PCBs I ordered from @JLCPCB. Man this color is really nice, I was expecting a brighter yellow but this is a really nice muted yellow that is a bit more orange. Now to get this assembled on my @OpuloInc Lumen v4 once I sort out putting 50 parts in feeders.

Almost time to assemble the green PCB, I'm down to 8 8mm feeders to populate for the blue board (soon to be yellow). I'll need to start building the powered feeders soon as I need a few more 12mm and 8mm components that just won't fit right now.

It's almost perfect now, the two on edge were due to a slight offset on the feeder pick location. The handful that are flipped over are due to reloading the paper tape when parts jumped due to Z offset issues. Now to expand beyond 0603 and try sot-23...

And it's pretty close for a SOT-223 part (AZ1117-3.3) being dropped onto a random 0603 footprint on the test board. It's maybe just slightly off but doesn't look too bad for a quick test.

Weekend project (or today project), assembly of the v4 unit and relocate the heavily modified/upgraded v2 PnP to the other end of the workbench.

Opted to assemble the bulk of it today, it wasn't too bad provided you follow the documentation and not get too far ahead of them lol. Tomorrow will be to upgrade the Linux box and OpenPnP. Then I can start calibration and maybe place parts on a real board on Monday!

It lives! Far from perfect but I can't complain for only about two hours from u packing to "placing" parts in roughly the right places. 19 of 30 parts were detected as picked, most of which ended up on end of edge. Now to fine tune the feeder.

Ordered on Sunday July 21 and out for delivery on Friday July 26. So far these new boards from @JLCPCB look awesome and will soon be populated and sent for testing (FCC and NMRA) Sadly @FedEx didn't deliver these until today even though they had them on Friday AM.
