With further ministerial changes yesterday, we continue to work closely with the officials at @VeteransGovUK to get this meeting organised and the publication of the Missing Medical Records review. We know that Ministers have seen the report, and it is finished. Time for publication. 33 days to go before summer recess @10DowningStreet. @cabinetofficeuk

Actually, I voted against the renewal of Trident at every opportunity.
It’s the Labour government that this Labour ex-MP once supported that has pledged renewal of the nuclear force. The military top brass didn’t make the choice.

34 days until summer recess. We have a new Defence Secretary and a new Veterans Minister this morning. Calvin Bailey MBE is the latest Minister to take on the role. We look forward to meeting with him and the Prime Minister before summer recess. @CalvinBailey @VeteransGovUK @cabinetofficeuk @10DowningStreet

I am gutted that @JohnHealey_MP has left his role as Defence Secretary. He had integrity, he was professional, but also very approachable and a genuinely nice person. This is rare in our world. He supported the Nuclear Test Veterans in opposition and continued that support in government by releasing the Merlin database, ordering a full review into missing medical records and meeting with us regularly. After my cardiac arrest, John spoke to me personally at the Labour Party Conference, a special moment which showed the caring person he is. Standing up for your beliefs and what is right is difficult, and I applaud John for doing so. LABRATS continue to work with the OVA under Louise Sandher-Jones and now Dan Jarvis. We achieved a lot under John's leadership, and I hope that very soon it will come to fruition. Take some time to relax John, time with family.

Since the 1980's, when Nuclear Test Veteran organisations started campaigning, the following Prime Ministers have been in office: Baroness Thatcher The Rt Hon Sir John Major The Rt Hon Sir Tony Blair The Rt Hon Gordon Brown The Rt Hon Lord Cameron The Rt Hon Theresa May The Rt Hon Boris Johnson The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak Sir Keir Starmer Only one has met them whilst in office. Guess which one.

How much public funds did the 9 nuclear armed states waste on nuclear weapons? At a time when the cost of living is soaring and millions struggle to afford food and fuel, this is outrageous. Read more here: icanw.org/2025_nuclear_weapo… #NuclearBan #Divestment

It’s not just ministers fighting the MoD and government. There are 40,000 ghosts, 155,000 descendants, 2,000 survivors and 1 journalist doing it too. And we’re not quitting, @Keir_Starmer. x.com/atomiclabrats/status/2…

35 days to go until summer recess. With the resignation of John Healey, Al Carns and Rachel Hopkins, we have lost some incredible supporters of our cause from within the corridors of the MoD. We hope that Louise Sandher-Jones and Dan Jarvis will continue their work and publish the review of the missing medical records before the summer recess, which includes meeting with the Prime Minister. In my dealings with him, John has always been a man of firm moral courage and utterly loyal to the PM. If he sees fit to resign, then Starmer is officially cooked. The nuke veterans who were relying on John to push his records review to conclusion by recess will be devastated.

We are saddened by the resignation of @JohnHealey_MP. He has supported our cause, worked extremely hard for our community and has always been available for us, another good man gone.

Virtually every single brilliant word in this speech applies to us and so many other cover ups. Thank you @AlexDaviesJones 👏
Transparency should not have to be fought for. We need a genuine culture of candour, built on openness, honesty and accountability.

Absolutely right, unfortunately as we know, the MOD dont do independent inquiries. They control them, deny them information or supply incorrect information. It needs to be completely independent with a full dury of candour.
Replying to @ChinookJustice
“What is needed is a new inquiry, fully independent of the MoD, with unrestricted access to documents and witnesses, and a remit extending beyond the cause of the crash to the full truth: the airworthiness, the decisions and the decades of concealment.”

“A former defence secretary is saying that evidence is now so serious that the possibility of a cover-up must be put before the Prime Minister himself.” Thank you @SorchaEastwood for writing this for @DailyMail. #chinookjustice dailymail.com/news/article-1…
