convex-svelte SSR today: → ConvexHttpClient in page.server.ts → Pass initialData as prop → useQuery() with initialData option → Handle isLoading, isStale → Hope hydration doesn't flash convex-sveltekit: → convexLoad() in your load function → Done. It's live.

This idea stuck in my head for months. Every time I wired up a @convex query in @sveltejs, the same thought: there has to be a way to make this feel native. SvelteKit's transport hook turned out to be the missing piece.

It's experimental. Already testing it at @cobl_ai. And honestly, it's the DX I wished existed when I started using both. Feedback very welcome. PS: On the demo page, it often shows a 500 on first load 😅 I need to fix that

I’m really grateful: I’m given “carte blanche” to show my company what my vision of a great tech stack is. That @convex / @autumnpricing / @better_auth / @firecrawl hackathon paying off, for them, and for me. I know exactly what to do, it’ll blow everyone’s mind

It’s not rebuilding for the sake of rebuilding. Or product is about 3 years old. AI was barely a thing back then. I’m capitalising on the learnings, and betting on the benefits of a clean slate. But I need to move fast to prove my point.

I’m surprised it took so long to shift away from “ai responds only” model. I was really interested by that 2 years ago, when I started Persocoms.ai I think Clawdbot will create a big trend of pro-active, single threaded AIs

Recently, at @cobl_ai, we experimented with HTML rendering for documents. This gives us a lot of freedom in terms of layout, much nicer for a dev to work with than PDF, Word or Powerpoint. And wow, that's fast, updating the preview over 10 times per second

Today, Thinkeo becomes Cobl. We set out to help teams escape repetitive document work, and realized repetition only makes work lose meaning. AI can take the busywork so people can focus on what matters. Cobl is that next step. Join early access 👉 cobl.ai/

I decided to focus on Svelte instead of React. My company chose Svelte instead of React. The choice of framework can have long term consequences. For example, hiring on the Svelte world is very different: Less jobs for candidates, less candidates for companies...

Apple just launched a web version of the App Store and it's build on Svelte!

It makes me genuinely happy to see important companies adopting Svelte. I think there is place for multiple frameworks, and seeing diversity in the industry is good for the ecosystem. Cheers to every company working with the outsider front-end frameworks.
