I do not believe that a person's decision to not abide by the endorsement makes the endorsement meaningless. Regardless of whether people abide, the endorsed candidate had enough people fired up to sit in that auditorium to endorse them. Now comes the work of earning votes.
Especially when the endorsement we give isn’t definitive. Witt will still be on the ballot without our endorsement. Frazier won the endorsement, but will still face at least 1 challenger come August. When nobody has to actually abide by the endorsement, it is meaningless

I've been Minneapolis DFL Chair for exactly 8 weeks. As the first Black woman to hold this position, it was awesome to spend the day at Bethune Park for a Juneteenth celebration surrounded by community, history, and culture.
2026, and Black women are still making history.

Live at the Hennepin County DFL Convention where "DFL'rs" decided not to endorse the only Democrat running for Hennepin County Sheriff. Her opponent is a far-right MAGA Republican.
This is fresh off the MN DFL Convention, where a GOP staffer got near 30% of the delegate vote for Governor against the most popular statewide Democrat in recent history.
I think it’s safe to say that these conventions do not represent the DFL

Seems that it was very unpopular for the Hennepin County Sherriff's office to work with an occupying force terrorizing Minnesotans and the fallout of that decision was felt today when Sherriff Witt failed to get the DFL endorsement & ultimately withdrew despite running unopposed.

It's pride month, the city hosted a drag show with local artists. That contributes to the local economy, arts, history and current public policies. All things I want my city council to be part of.

I am all for consenting adults doing as they please - and treating everyone in our community with respect. But I really don’t get why Democrats insist things like this be hosted on public property meant for civic business and in front of kids, as today’s City Hall drag show was.

Side hug because he pulled one girl for a chat and has been messy as hell in his past relationships feels a bit much but I guess I'll have to wait and see. This has been episodes 2 & 3.
