🔴⚖️ CONNECTICUT: Matt Lesser and the Democrats vow to arrest federal ICE agents while Democommies scream and stomp their feet over masked agents.
Most of the articles on this incident are behind a paywall so I present you with State Senator Matt Lesser's "Big words from a small man," and a News Nation video of the incident

Danbury Incident (June 4, 2026)
A video shows ICE agents during a targeted enforcement operation in Danbury that resulted in multiple arrests. Protesters questioned the agents about masks. One unmasked agent replied, “We’re federal. We’re over state. Go back to social studies.”
Because unlike
@GovNedLamont of the Constitution State, federal agents understand the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution.
Footage from the Danbury and Hartford operations, shared widely online (including a CT Insider/YouTube short), depicts tense confrontations. Protesters chant “ICE out of Hartford!” repeatedly. A woman is heard screaming in the background, and another demands that agents remove their masks.
Agents assert federal authority and warn bystanders to step back.
Hartford Incident (May 18, 2026)
A different video captured ICE agents arresting an individual near the state Superior Court in Hartford. Members of the public confronted the agents about wearing masks in violation of the new state law. One agent reportedly responded, “Tell them to arrest me,” and added, “Tell them. I dare you. Who’s going to arrest me?”
The agent stated that the person being arrested had “sexually assaulted somebody,” though ICE has not released full details of the specific case.
Quoted verbatum from Connecticut State Senator
@MattLesser's Instagram post this morning.
"ICE agents and the President may believe they are above the law, but they are mistaken. Connecticut's prosecutors and inspector general will now investigate and prosecute serious crimes committed by federal officials and even if ICE tries to hide behind masks and hinder state enforcement efforts, they should be aware that in Connecticut murder has no statute of limitations. Those who commit serious crimes will eventually face justice. Additionally Connecticut residents can now hold ICE agents civilly accountable in state courts if they violate our constitutional rights. We are a nation of laws and our new state law, SB 397, was carefully constructed to follow constitutional principles and apply uniformly to federal and state actors. Enforcing any state law against federal agents is hard - but 250 years of precedent is on our side and we are prepared to be patient."
I am extra annoyed by the video obtained by News Nation. There is a whole cohort of people chanting, "ICE out of Hartford," while some lady screams and cries in the background about someone's heart condition (they give illegal aliens their meds in detention, so I still don't care)
Meanwhile, some lady who seriously overestimates her authority demands the federal ICE agents remove their masks.
Connecticut's semisane again humbly requests a dedicated ERO New Haven office. DEPORT them all, and we don't care who screams and cries and makes ridiculous demands. This is what we voted for,
