Hi guys! It’s been a long time since I last posted here, and I’m writing this one in English so it can hopefully reach more people. It seems that several players, including myself, are being mistakenly banned since the December 5th VacNet Anti-Cheat update on CS2. There also appear to be many cases pointing toward possible false positives. This issue has already been reported in the following Reddit post: reddit.com/r/counterstrike/c… This situation also happened to @hamboogaCS, and was later successfully reproduced by @fatguylul, which further supports the innocence of many players affected by this issue: x.com/hamboogaCS/status/1997… x.com/fatguylul/status/19974… I also noticed a large wave of ban reports that occurred on the night the update was released (around 22:30 GMT-3). During that period, many players reported being unfairly banned while playing Wingman, which is exactly what happened to me, although I still don’t know whether it was specifically related to Wingman or just a coincidence, as it may also be related to the trigger discussed in the Reddit/X posts above, involving movement binds ( turnleft / turnright) combined with client lag or game jittering. After so many years (and money) invested in the game, it’s heartbreaking to see everything disappear out of nowhere. If you’re reading this, it would really help if you could share this post and tag @CounterStrike. And if you were also unfairly banned after this update, feel free to reply and share your case, the more people come forward, the clearer it becomes that this is a widespread false-positive issue.
