My biggest ah ha moment was realizing how important phenomenon-based instruction is for equity.
Focusing learning around figuring out a common experience or phenomenon rather than a science topic gives *everybody* an access point to enter the discussion. 🎓

Mr. Shaker's 8th Gr. class invited members of the school community to engage a Gallery Walk today. Students engaged a Geometry Scavenger hunt in which they identified real world (Geometry-related) objects at home & wrote about how each shape or object impacts students lives.
