When it's time to correct somebody, close the door. When it's time to praise somebody, open it wide. Public humiliation has a short shelf life and so does the leader who uses it.

Today in 1914: 19-year-old Babe Ruth launched his pro career with the minor league Baltimore Orioles as a left-handed pitcher. In his first game, he threw a six-hit shutout, and went 2-for-4 at the plate. Ruth played for the Orioles until July 9, when he and two other players were sold to the Red Sox for $25,000 because the Orioles’ owner needed the money. #MLB #baseball #Yankees #RedSox #Orioles

The best players are students of the game. They know greatness comes form being humble enough to accept coaching. β€’ "Just be coachable." "Just take the instruction." You can't coach someone who thinks they've already arrived.
