Mob justice is not justice. It is a crime.
The image below is a reminder that in today's world, participating in mob justice does not guarantee anonymity. Every phone camera, CCTV camera, social media post, and eyewitness can become evidence.
Many people think that because they acted as part of a crowd, they cannot be identified. The reality is different. One by one, individuals can be identified, arrested, prosecuted, and held personally responsible for assault, grievous harm, or even murder.
No matter the accusation against a suspect, every person has a constitutional right to a fair hearing before a court of law. Taking the law into your own hands only creates more victims and turns law-abiding citizens into criminals.
If you suspect someone has committed an offence, hand them over to the police and allow the justice system to do its work.
A crowd may attack together, but accountability is individual. Think before you join a mob.
