I was rather charmed to hear a great twittering and spot these birds, which I think are pied wagtails, gathering at the top of the tree in the middle of Southgate yesterday. A surprising and lovely thing. @BathEcho @Bathnats #birds

Well, managed to deter squirrels from feeders...eventually, but now a belligerent male Blackcap has taken up residence and drives everything away! Fun to watch though...as birds sneak in when he’s chasing others! River very high too...🤞🏻!

Happy #WorldSoilDay! It can take 1000s years to form a few cm of #soil: essentially making it non-renewable. This World Soil Day is all about #StopSoilErosion Below are examples of #soil erosion in the UK by wind, water, co-extraction on root crops (& even soil sampling!)

I have been running @BBSbryology for 3 years now. Just wondering if there was any new blood amongst the BBS membership who would be keen to take over? Sent me a Direct Message if interested. If not, I'll carry on!

We're going to need a bigger pot. Thanks to Mike Bailey for bringing this moth to @CVRSNews from his garden in Timsbury. The only time I've ever set up for a moth photo and had to step backwards... #flickr flic.kr/p/2hgm5sn
