My book Inheritance was written both out of deep love for my father and a fury over his refusal to see the white supremacy he had inherited and passed on. If you're looking for something for your difficult father, buy it from a local bookstore. charmcitybooks.com/item/uG_5…
Probably around 100 people, with more arriving, lining both sides of Pratt Stree in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, demanding “Let Gaza Live,” and banging pots and pans to protest the mass starvation being forced on the Palestinian people.
In May 2025 $500K more in tax payer 💰 promised to this fake ghost-ery store in Poppleton? How do the rich keep making money off poor neighborhoods with broken promises and politicians still believe them? 😡@AntonioHayes40 @MayorBMScott thebaltimorebanner.com/econo…
I wrote more about the in-custody death of Dontae Melton and the 10 involved officers, without just repeating the press release, like most outlets did. Now, more than ever, journalism can’t be stenography dictated by the powerful who tell us what it’s ok to write and when

This isn't a story about optimism, nor is it one about pessimism.
It's a stark understanding of how little this city cares about its Black residents and how in spite of that, people have created their own havens of community care. I think that's what defines Baltimore.

Interesting theory. Personally, I'm critical of Democrats because they do things like vote unanimously to confirm a Republican Secretary of State who is now deporting people for expressing opinions.
I have this theory that a lot of progressive and socialist hate of Democrats is built on the fact they were brought up in conservative households and the only thing they took with them upon leaving was hate of Democrats.

On the redevelopment plans for Poppleton @docbullock says that the "ink has not dried" on those plans. Residents ask to be involved & at the table throughout the process. "We have ideas," says Sonia Eaddy. "We know what we want. We want our voices at the table."
