The below pun must be too cryptic. It has now entered witness protection.
That's not A. Bonner-fide #4 Knicks jersey.

That's not A. Bonner-fide #4 Knicks jersey.
Mean and accurate. Knicks don’t win in five if De’Aaron Fox shows up.

Jordan and his teammates did the same thing after G7 of the 1990 ECF. Seconds later, MJ was interviewed by the great @POBPATOBRIEN. Class personified.
The greatest player in NBA history knew the value of sportsmanship Jay. Michael Jordan shaking the hands of the Bills most heated rival at the time, the Pistons, when they were denied an NBA Finals appearance in 1989. Being gracious in defeat makes you a better winner.

I’m so pleased to see Patrick revel in the Knicks’ championship. He embodies everything that culminated in the 2026 title.

Jim, that’s very kind. @NBAHistory is my passion and I’m grateful for your support over the years. Many thanks as well to @PeterVecsey1, @34billy42, @phattime12, @GlobeBobRyan, @Mark25Price, @mokeski_paul, @erecasner, @AndNowPA, @richrinaldi33 and @pete_babcock, among others.
I listen to a lot of podcasts where it is painfully obvious the host barely grazed over their guests’ Wikipedia page. There should be more podcasts like the @bballrecordpod incredible research on guests and great stories. #nba #Bucks & #Celtics fans would enjoy this interview with Fred Roberts. @NBAalumni this is how it’s done basketballrecord.com/148

The only salad ever tossed from an NBA game.
June 12, 1988: With under 7:00 left in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Magic Johnson's mother already has the Lakers' postgame meal prepared in the locker room. Christine Johnson's menu: Fried chicken, potato salad, tossed salad, pasta salad, homemade rolls, cake and sweet potato pie.

Really interesting interview. As is often the case, these NBA veterans, former role players, are some of the best people to listen to if you want to learn more about the league’s history. Often more interesting than former stars, who can be a little too comfortable reshaping the truth. Plenty of great stories here: Team USA in China in the late 70s, his “fiasco” draft with the Bucks and Don Nelson, the arrival of the Mailman in Utah… A great conversation, and more excellent work by Adam.

Jan 3, 1986. Reportedly, the first ejection of @MagicJohnson's career (at any level). 📰 @_newspapers 🔢 basketball-reference.com/box…

@OfficialNBARefs Mike Lauerman lived near me for a while. I believe he kicked Magic Johnson out of a game at the Forum. The internet says no. What say you?

Stacey King’s sudden passing called for dignity - not wildly inappropriate speculation about his weight. @stephenasmith’s “reflection” was a rambling mess that somehow managed to get worse the longer it went on. First Take? More like Worst Take.

Today’s Treasure from my collection: Remembering Stacey King, who recently passed away at age 59. Stacey played in the 1988 Final Four for Oklahoma & won 3 NBA titles with the Bulls. The 1990 NBA Hoops cards set, Stacey’s here, included the player’s college stats on the back.

My heart is absolutely broken. Stacey King has been my friend for 37 years. We were brother & sister, he was uncle to my kids & we all got together every time the Bulls played the Celtics. Family forever. Heaven gained an angel with a beautiful heart. I’ll miss you dear friend 💔
