Noting that appointments are going unfilled, LA County @SupJaniceHahn says she wants to expand #COVID19 vax eligibility to residents 16 & older now, rather than waiting until April 15. "We are in a race with these new variants and I want us to win!!" @KNX1070

Echo Park Lake got a $45 million makeover 6 years ago. What "renovations"? Why is this secret? For years our requests for safe parking lots, showers, and bathrooms were ignored, but the city can mobilize this quickly to build a fence shutting down an entire 16-acre public space?

Councilman @MitchOFarrell declined to confirm the timetable, but a source with direct knowledge of the process told The Times that the city plans to clear the encampment Thursday, fence the park and close it for renovations. latimes.com/homeless-housing…

Interviewing people tonight I hear exhaustion. Asian Am women, especially, are exhausted. One told me she is on even higher alert after Atlanta. "I continue being aware of my surroundings, knowing who's in front of me, behind me, around me, paying attention to my closest exit."

As some of you have pointed out, LA and Orange counties, which just got out of the strictest/purple (widespread transmission) tier in the state's coronavirus reopening system and into red (substantial), now appear to be heading toward a move into orange (moderate) @KNX1070

I look forward to the brief spark of normalcy I will feel when I walk into a museum again for the first time in over a year.
Guess what? Museum! The last museum I visited was The Palace of the Inquisition in Cartagena in Feb. 2020.
My favorite Laker of all-time. Him and Van Exel were the truth.
How big of an Eddie Jones fan is @MrMichaelLee? He did a painting of #6 in college! We're talking about it on the Late Night Happy Hour. Going until 10pm PT. x.com/i/broadcasts/1kvJpojWn…

Hearing a lot of speculation about whether indoor dining will be allowed in LA County. Official Red Tier protocols are coming later — and I am expecting that restaurants will be allowed to reopen indoor dining with certain safety measures required.
