It appears the banana and coffee plantations in New Jersey are not developing as quickly as the administration expected.

New: Secretary Bessent told Fox News this morning that the administration will move in coming days to cut the cost of coffee, bananas and other fruits. (He didn't specify by cutting tariffs but that's the clear implication.)

Some news out of Alberta's power market today.
Having gone from extremely high prices to a supply glut leading to an extended outlook of low prices, Transalta is responding by announcing they are mothballing Sundance 6, a 400MW coal-to-gas simple cycle plant, for up to 2 years.

Check out BC's electricity trade with it's neighbour, Alberta.
In 2024, BC imported record volumes (3700 GWh) at a lowly price of $37CAD while still opportunistically exporting (at $226/MWh).
