Ok I tracked down the original video and the missing intro might be my favorite part.
This is one the best things I’ve ever seen

I guess there is one good thing about being raised by a bullshit artist. I can spot 'em a mile off. A YIMBY mouthpiece does not suddenly change its spots.
Why are there so many (uninformed) people on here in the last week suddenly pointing to every piece of undeveloped land in the Bay Area and saying we should put dense housing there?? It looks like some sort of coordinated bot effort.

Some of these responses are a trip. Been a minute since I've seen so many closet cases in one spot. I was hoping we'd be done with that by now.

Did I fuck someone up in my sleep again?
the person you're responding to has participated in acts of violence to try to block student housing at the Cal campus. You're a sucker if you think the words matter more than the deeds.

33 years ago, June 13 1993, in an action led by Homes Not Jails, 150 activists and homeless youth seized a vacant building owned by the federal government in San Francisco. HNJ, who demanded the conversion of vacant properties into public housing, held the building for 37 days

They spent years demonising antifascists so they could let the far right run wild without any resistance. Only thing that puts fascism back in its box is brute force, meeting them toe to toe. Everyone needs to have a serious chat with themselves about what it's going to take.
British patriots are protesting in Liverpool against black and brown migrants, and it seems the police are struggling to control them.

They're terrified they'll have to get real jobs. They're casting the net far and wide for the next land grab.
Drove from San Jose to SF for the first time ever today (I’m not from California). Absolutely shocked, floored, etc. at the incredible lack of development. Just mile after mile of trees and hills, not a single building or road, in what’s probably a top five value-per-acre area. I see why people are mad about NIMBYism now…

This low follow account has been boosted by Musk twice by my count today. They understand overcoming Lee’s reputation and name recognition won’t be easy and we must make it even harder for them.

SF NIMBY socialists unite 🤘
San Francisco NIMBY socialists are converting to straight up blood-and-soil fascists before our eyes. "San Francisco land for San Franciscans (and we get to define who is a 'San Franciscan')"

All because this moron thought that white people could be the global majority through mass murder in Africa.
Instead of discussing how Elon Musk is now the world's first trillionaire, we should talk about how he killed hundreds of thousands of people through his dismantling of food and medical aid to poor countries currentaffairs.org/news/how-…

Daily History Lesson: In 1905, 1000 Koreans migrated to Yucatán to help with the harvest of agave. They stayed and fought during the Mexican Revolution. Then, during the Korean War, 100,000 Mexicans travelled to Korea to fight for the South. We been homies ever since.

Today the Filton 4 have been sentenced I am gutted. I am very concerned and alarmed by the court’s decision to treat four defendants as having a “terrorist connection” under section 69 of the Sentencing Act 2020 when they were not charged with terrorism offences and when a jury was never asked to determine that allegation. This is not a merely technical point. Justice Johnson found the following: 1. He elevated criminal damage to a more serious category without the defendants having faced or been convicted of any terrorism offence by a jury; 2. increased the punitive consequence (requiring at least two‑thirds of the sentence to be served) by reference to a connection the Crown chose not to submit to the jury; and 3. created an unprecedented and dangerous precedent that could be used to label non‑violent political protest including historical movements such as the suffragettes, Greenham Common women and Trident Ploughshares as “terrorist” activity. Such an approach undermines core principles of criminal justice: A) the right to have serious allegations tested by a jury of one’s peers; B) the principle of proportionality in sentencing; and C) the rule of law safeguard against the state enhancing punishment by adducing an allegation it elected not to prosecute. I also note the chilling effect on lawful dissent and political protest. Applying a terrorism label to acts that were prosecuted as criminal damage particularly where those acts were motivated by political objection to corporate activity risks criminalising legitimate political expression and deterring peaceful civic action. What should happen now D) The finding should be urgently and robustly appealed so that the question of whether section 69 may be applied in these circumstances is resolved by a higher court. E) In the meantime, the courts, prosecutors and policymakers should clarify the limits of section 69 to ensure that sentencing enhancements reserved for terrorism are not applied where the Crown has chosen not to put that allegation before a jury. F) Parliament should review the law to prevent disproportionate sentencing outcomes and protect the proper role of juries in deciding allegations that carry exceptional consequences. I stand for the principle that sentencing must be fair, proportionate and founded on allegations the accused have had the opportunity to contest before a jury. Using a terrorism connection to increase punishment where terrorism charges were not prosecuted is an unacceptable erosion of those principles. Tyranny has entered our criminal justice system. We cannot allow this , justice died today. #Filton24Justicenow

The settlement is only $100k. Yumi Willmott made millions running 15 illegal Airbnb units in San Diego for years. Her account had over 3,000 reviews before she deleted it. She evicted many tenants. She inflicted so much harm. And she is eligible to do it again in 2028.
Thank you, City Attorney Ferbert, for successfully enforcing the City’s Short-Term Rental Ordinance. Bad actors must be held to account to ensure that the short-term rental industry operates with fairness and respect for our City and our neighborhoods.
