This is really important, tracing at risk animals is so much harder and slower if we don’t have the movement info recorded as it is supposed to be.

If you keep livestock and want to temporarily move them to someone else’s land you must let us know. This is vital so we know where your animals are kept in the event of a disease outbreak. In England visit gov.uk/apha/register-tempora… to find out what you need to do. @NFUtweets

❗️Livestock can still move be but there are testing requirements for exiting the zone = Norfolk and Suffolk. This is to stop infected animals moving the virus longer distances and sharing it with midges there.

Following confirmed cases of Bluetongue virus, a restricted zone has been declared in Norfolk and Suffolk. All keepers of ruminants, such as cattle and sheep, and camelids in this zone need to follow restrictions on animal movements. Read more: gov.uk/government/collection…
