Every day, the same man comes to talk to me between sets.
He greets everyone at the gym the same way and loves to critique fitness and talk about his family.
Not everyone entertains him, which I find is sad.
Today, he said something to me that I think more people in gym culture need to hear.
He said, "I'm an 86-year-old man who struggles to make it to the gym every day, and it's youngsters like you who make me smile, making my whole day worth living."
I hope that the next time you're at the gym, you'll take a moment to encourage strangers.
I hope you understand that the world doesn't revolve around just you; other people struggle too.
Taking the time to hear others, matters. ❤️
