That’s it. That’s the tweet. The Realtime API now supports WebRTC—you can add Realtime capabilities with just a handful of lines of code.
We’ve also cut prices by 60%, added GPT-4o mini (10x cheaper than previous prices), improved voice quality, and made inputs more reliable.

Hey @Patrick_Spence @Sonos just got 2 new speakers to expand our system. Batting .500 in getting them added. Have checked the forum but not seeing anything helpful. Getting "There was a problem checking for updates". Then try again. Seems to work but it's a mirage. Help?

GPT-4o definitely providing much better TPS and TTFT vs. 4-turbo.

Had a chance to try the gpt-4o API from us-central and text generation is quite fast. Comparing to thefastest.ai, this perf is 5x the TPS of gpt-4-turbo and similar to many llama-3-8b deployments.
TTFT: 0.34 seconds
Tokens: 100 (124 tokens/sec)
Total time: 1.11 seconds
