Getting a language model like Llama oder Alpaca running on your local boring hardware is some kind of technology wizardry and awakening I haven't experience for a very long time.
I'm even confuzzled how the structure of the prompts correlate with the output.

I just tried #BingChat and it was a rather repelling expierience.
In the screenshoted scenario it states completely false facts with a disturbing confidence in his "voice". These #fake facts only turn out to be utterly wrong on checking its claimed sources manually!

Nice - first real #ChatGPT value: Received unsolicited email from a recruiter. Pasted Email and added "Please write a kind response telling Ricky, that I'm not interested and [mycorp] has a global HR department for that."
Just worked good enough. Yay! 3 minutes lifetime saved!

Even their own Status Page is down for me sometimes.
The root problem also does not help with my general reservations on transforming the Internet from a decentralized systems to an increasingly centralized system again
