Leaving Basel (unfortunately by air and not train….) reinvigorated despite repetitions of old frustration. If anything the #ImpSci community is already practicing “Slow Implementation” if you ask me…but: things take time. Thanks @implementEIC for fantastic #EIE2023

The #ImpSci community is so busy talking about ‘barriers’ but I think we should approach this by speaking about ‘needs’ - what do target audience/organizations NEED for implementation of X to happen? Ask them and listen and tailoring will happen #EIE2023

So often I hear #ImpSci people saying things like “we want to achieve local ownership” - but if we departed from the local problem - ownership would have been a pre-requisite, and sustainability of implementation efforts less of an issue…. #EIE2023

As an #impsci scientist it is crystal clear to me that wherever in the world I am key is to prioritize to work on issues relevant to the people/context where I am and strive to strengthen established structures. Sounds trivial maybe, but not sure we walk the talk #EIE2023
