Today is #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour.
Child labour can be hidden within complex global supply chains, far removed from the consumers and businesses that benefit from the goods produced.
Research I commissioned for my recent Forced Labour report found that 6 in 10 people believe products sold in the UK are likely linked to forced or child labour somewhere in the supply chain.
The report also sets out recommendations, including model legislation, to help strengthen the UK's response to exploitation in global supply chains.

D&C's #Countylines trafficked victims' families have always known this to be a myth as they battled for protection & statutory duties to be met whilst traffickers trafficked unabated.
Today we’ve published our latest inspection of @DC_Police
The force has improved how it responds to calls for service and continues to prevent crime effectively.
There remain areas of concern about how the force investigates crime and safeguards vulnerable people.
