The Progressive Caucus is united in our position: any COVID relief package MUST include survival checks and enhanced unemployment assistance — the two most effective ways to put money directly in people's pockets. RT if you're with us.

People in Seattle want Stay Healthy Streets so badly that some of them are taking the signs and moving them to their street. I'm excited that we're going to discuss this at a council meeting in Bothell for the first time next Tuesday.
.@seattledot told us this is NOT a Stay Healthy Street & would come get the sign. (Near Lincoln Park)

#Bellingham, it’s ON. Get that census done. #Census2020
Among US cities with a population more than 250k, Lincoln, NE has the highest cumulative self-response rate (71%), followed by Louisville, KY (69.1%) & Madison, WI (68.6%). Go to 2020census.gov/response-rate… and click "rankings here" above the map to explore more rankings. #2020Census

Hey Siri, which mode should I primarily build for if I want really bad congestion?
Liveability is all about making educated choices & budget shows where u place value. This pic shows no. of people u can move per hr on a 3.5m wide city lane. Car is most spatially inefficient transport mode for moving people. So there u have it!

The @CityofBhamWA can’t be bothered to flip the automatic ped recall switch, so residents are fashioning beg-button swords. youtu.be/2VvdJPQY05I

Who at @CityofBhamWA is leading our reset?
Leaders with vision know this is a moment of reinvention. We won’t - and shouldn’t - go back to the way we were. We can reset our cities, embracing liveability, walking and cycling, clean air and prioritizing the safety of seniors and children. theglobeandmail.com/canada/a…

The #StayHealthyStreets in the CD has been a huge success so far! It’s never crowded, but every few minutes you’ll see an elder walking, a couple running, a family walking their dogs, or kids biking in the street. Can’t wait for citywide expansion. Thanks @MayorJenny @seattledot!
