Hope everyone enjoyed their #familyday2024 , #LouisRielDay or Civic holiday in #canada. Here are few snaps I grabbed from a peaceful yet chilly 🥶 walk along the Waterfront Trail in my hometown of Ajax, #ontario today. 🇨🇦

Don't really care much for football but congratulations to the Canadian men's team on their historic draw earlier today. Yay, sports. 😂 ⚽ #worldcup #canada
Canada’s March to the Match continues to work its way through the Toronto streets toward the stadiums. Beautiful scenes as fans chant and cheer and high five fans who are lining the streets. It’s going to be electric inside the stadium today.

I seriously mean no disrespect and I wish Hunter Biden well but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this information. Like, okay? Thanks? Why is everyone fawning over this tweet?

Apparently the dude is a Canadian citizen living in the United States. In that case, uh...no, never mind! Don't pack your bags! Please! 🥺Stay where you are!🤣

He yells 😢 OMG poor, fragile babies. Get a grip. If I ever had the honour of serving in His Majesty's cabinet/government I'd take the yelling (or whatever it is) with good grace (regardless of party). Of all the things to complain about...
BREAKING: New reporting from @althiaraj reveals growing internal tension within the Liberal caucus, with MPs alleging that Prime Minister @MarkJCarney is tightly centralizing power and reacting harshly to internal dissent. 👇🧵 (1/5)

It's funny that some of the people re-tweeting/quoting this in a "supportive" way are using Carney's message to do the thing that he is telling them (immigrant or otherwise) NOT to do.😄
PM Carney tells immigrants to leave behind the feuds of their homelands: "We don't welcome the world's hatreds" "When you come to Canada you bring your faith, your tradition, your language, your story - you leave behind your animosities"

Time for the Minister of Foreign Affairs to summon this ambassador. Long past time, actually.

Canada needs to join the United States. Here’s how it could realistically happen. @USAmbCanada, the U.S. should extend an offer to Alberta to become a territory with a pathway to statehood, should they vote in a referendum to leave. Under Canadian law, the “Reference in re Secession of Québec” (a ruling by Canada’s Supreme Court in 1998) means that an Alberta referendum vote on a clear question, with a clear majority to leave, would be binding on the Government of Canada. Alberta is an excellent candidate to join the union. They have vast reserves of oil and natural resources. Culturally, they are identical to the American West — in tradition, religion, and values — as well as different from the rest of Canada. They feel contempt and alienation from the rest of Canada, because Ontario and Québec dominate at Alberta’s expense. All that @realDonaldTrump has to do is release a TruthSocial post that reads: “Alberta, if you vote to leave Canada, we will welcome you to America with a pathway to statehood.” That’s enough. Alberta hasn’t voted yet because, independent from Canada, there is no good economic option for them. Joining the United States would give Alberta the option necessary to proceed. If @POTUS acquires Alberta, he will have expanded the land territory of the Union more than any president since Thomas Jefferson. He will have changed the literal map of America that is our conception of this country. That’s a great legacy, especially for a real estate man as president. Not to mention, in that land he will have acquired billions of dollars in energy reserves and untapped critical minerals. As a natural-born Canadian citizen, my loyalty is to the United States. I know that the only hope for Canada’s success is the United States. The Canadian state is mediocre and provinces will be forever trapped beneath its glass ceiling. By contrast, America has infinite opportunity and empowers its people, which would enrich Canadians holistically. Joining America would remedy a mistake that George Washington in 1775 sought to correct. It would be the greatest union in history.

Obviously, I am all for accountability over how government spends taxpayer dollars but this "Canadian Taxpayers Federation" is doing a great disservice to the political and civic discourse in Canada. A complete non-story (although I'm curious as to what "luxury butter" means😄).
Carney's in-flight menu includes fine wine, braised beef and 'luxury' butter: Canadian Taxpayers Federation nationalpost.com/news/canada…

Happy Victoria Day! 👑 This portrait of Her Majesty Queen Victoria was commissioned by Premier George Henry Murray in 1897 to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee. Painted by A.T. Barrett of Gaspereau, Kings County, it has the distinction of being the first artwork by a Nova Scotian to be displayed at Province House. #provincehouse #provincehousehalifax #victoriaday

Why Victoria Day? Celebrating the monarch’s birthday is a long Canadian tradition. But in 1849 when Anglo-Montreal businessmen signed a declaration calling the U.S. to annex Canada, Canadians ignited in protest turning The Queen’s birthday into a major patriotic holiday. #cdnpoli

Happy #victoriaday2026, Canada, and happy (official) birthday to the current Canadian Sovereign, His Majesty The King, Charles III.
Victoria Day is a time to reflect on Canada’s enduring connection to the Crown and the traditions that shape our history. 👑🍁 We also look ahead to the installation of the 31st Governor General, the Honourable Louise Arbour. Happy Victoria Day! 🕊️
