I read this again and thought I'd give my take on what
@okpasquale,
@kevinafischer and the team at
@IllusionOfLife are building:
1. a living bridge between the oldest human art forms (puppetry, performance, storytelling) and the most advanced robotics and actual AGI.
2. we are looking at a roadmap from illusion of AGI to actual AGI, which is based on how characters are built (not just coded).
3. the standard AI approach is train models on text whereas IOL's apprach is to perform its characters, discover what creates emotional contact and then train the AI to replicate.
4. most companies try to make AI seem human whereas IOL has human performance data like what makes people laugh, cry and believe.
5. you have the who's who of entertainment, VC and AI engineering engaging with Spark in person, as a character.
In the same way we remember the Muppets, IOL is creating a digital being. except Spark will remember us back.
