Remote work is now the largest ‘industry’ in the USA. It will reward those places that spent the past decades improving quality of life; making better schools, reducing crime and fixing infrastructure.

1/ Quick Friday tweet storm on Indiana's evolving labor markets. Three issues I want to hit are a) really poor labor markets in 21st century, b) Big job polarization since COVID, and c) the decline in employment by young people (< 24).

Mitch Daniels is a Hall of Fame conservative governor. He would be a great voice for Republicans in the Senate. Better to judge someone on their body of work and not just some offhand comment. His book, “Keeping the Republic” should be required reading for all.

Before 2020, post-industrial cities were losing the competition for talent. Going forward, WFH creates new possibilities that cities such as Baltimore can attract such workers if their quality of life is strong relative to local home prices. Competition!

Without ALS I would have never discovered the magical Toto S350e Bidet Seat. I am here to tell the non-ALS world that you don't know what you are missing! Heated seat, pulsating mode, self cleaning, remote... $1000 seems a lot for a toilet seat. It's not. Well done, @TOTOUSA!

When we stated MakeMyMove 4 years ago, I thought I was too old for another startup. Then, I was diagnosed with ALS and thought starting a company and having people depend on me had been a giant mistake. Now, I realize it is the highlight of my entire career. This is so fun!
