Enjoyed @billyhix and his daughter who teaches at Cascade visiting us @Flintville_ to see how our STEM/Paxton-Patterson Learning Lab works. Great job @FESscience78 for presenting.

Had a wonderful day visiting Decherd Elementary today with my planetarium. They are so proud of their STEM designation. You have to pass by it to enter the school. @theTSIN@STEMignites
OTD 54 years ago, Apollo 11 crewmembers became the first human on the lunar surface. Watching this from our little farmhouse, I knew I was going to work at NASA– although no one around me thought that was a good idea. It took a while, I had a grand life due to one small step.
Be on the lookout 👀 applications open soon! Don’t miss this opportunity to dig deep into how to breakdown barriers and strengthen STEM initiatives in your area!
Summer is almost here, no matter the temp. We’re halfway through 2023 and the summer solstice marks the astronomical start of summer. The summer solstice takes place on Wed, Jun 21, 2023 9:57am CST. Contrary to popular belief, the solstice is a moment and not the entire day.
Thank you, @billyhix, for sharing your passion for all things space with our 5th graders @WeAreUnionSTEAM today! We will never think about “Valentine’s Day” the same way again!
I had such a wonderful time being with @BTCS_Avoca

Full Worm Moon. The exact moment of the full moon is Tues, Mar. 7 at 6:40amCST. March 6-7 will look similar. Easter comes on the first Sunday after the full moon after the March equinox. So, the April full moon, April 5, 2023–sets Easter on Sunday (April 9, 2023).
A Thank You to the wonderful teachers and students of Cascade Elem. Had such a fun day sharing the cosmos and how to integrate STEM across the curriculum. Using star temps to create the best valentines ever for next year (you just had to be there). @BedCoSchools
Vicky (@RCElemSci_SS ) - thank you for these generous words to describe my work - as you know, I just wanted someone to do this for me. Education gave me a great life and I share that with students. Thank you for your hard work to show the power of STEM to your students.
Wow! No photo could ever do this incredible experience justice. Thank you so much @billyhix for providing this invaluable opportunity for our students. Even the adults learned quite a bit today. You are so inspiring, & we are very grateful for your time & expertise! @theTSIN
Vickie is very kind - but I did have fun doing the article!!! Thank you to my friend @STEMignites as well - I would not be having as much fun without your support.

What a great day - And @TaraCoker0 I was so impressed that you were looking up Betelgeuse on twitter as I was talking about it. What I would have given to have a teacher like you!!! Thank you for the great photo.
We had a visit from @billyhix today and I'm so grateful for the time he spent with our students! Great learning by @PGE5thGrade@PGEcubs Thanks for sharing with us! 🐾 💜
54 years ago, I was a lad in a rural setting, but daydreaming I could do anything. The best proof was while setting on a cold floor in front of a TV on Christmas eve, I listened to the Apollo 8 astronauts describe what they were seeing as we visited our moon for the first time
Thank you to @STEMignites for allowing me to never forget how big one can dream and then share that with students!! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
