A sign of emotional intelligence is the ability to laugh at yourself. 6 studies: After making small mistakes, people are seen as warmer and more capable if they're amused instead of embarrassed. Taking your responsibilities seriously but your ego lightly is a core life skill.

Stated at ACIP: MMRV isn’t acceptable for kids <4 to prevent measles, mumps, rubella & varicella.   ❌ False. MMRV/MMR vaccines are safe & highly effective. Studies show only a very small increase in febrile seizure risk after the 1st dose.

Among children hospitalized with bronchiolitis in 36 hospitals, the most common rationales provided by clinicians for cSpO2 monitoring in the absence of supplemental O2 reflected nonclinical reasoning (forgetting to discontinue or not knowing the reason for monitoring) 😲🙊
🫁To continue or not to continue? This #BriefReport from the @PRISNetwork explores why clinicians use continuous pulse oximetry monitoring in children with bronchiolitis outside of established guidelines 🩺 🔗:doi.org/10.1002/jhm.13442
