Let me tell you something the world refuses to say out loud.
There is one people on this earth who were told by nearly every civilization they ever lived under that they should no longer exist. Babylon. Rome. The Inquisition. The pogroms. The Holocaust. Every century, somewhere, a ruler decided the Jews had finally run out of road. Every century, they refused the verdict.
And on a sliver of land smaller than New Jersey, that same people built the most advanced, most alive, most defiant country in the Middle East. That is not politics. That is a miracle. And the world should have the decency to admit it.
The empires that tried to erase them are museum exhibits. The language they prayed in three thousand years ago is the language they speak today. There is no precedent for this. None.
On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared independence in Tel Aviv. Within hours, five Arab armies invaded to finish what Hitler started. They lost. They lost again in '67. Again in '73. Every war was supposed to be the last. Every defeat was supposed to be the lesson. And yet the same regimes that lost on the battlefield kept winning the propaganda war recycling the same hatred in newer uniforms with better press releases.
While they burned Israeli flags, Israel built the future.
The chip inside your phone was designed with Israeli IP. The firewall protecting your bank was built in Tel Aviv. The irrigation system feeding a Kenyan farmer's children was developed by an Israeli agritech firm. Waze was born on streets bombed by Scuds a generation ago. The Iron Dome the only system that intercepts rockets mid-flight was built by a people who refused to die quietly under rocket fire.
The countries that boycott Israel the loudest are the countries their own citizens are fleeing. The country they boycott is the country their citizens flee to.
I write this from Somaliland.
We are a small, Muslim African nation. We rebuilt ourselves from rubble without foreign armies or oil money. We've spent thirty years waiting for the world to acknowledge what we are: a functioning, peaceful, democratic state. The Arab League ignores us. The OIC looks the other way. The same countries that lecture Israel about justice lecture us about patience.
So when Israel a nation that knows exactly what it means to be unrecognized, blockaded, and slandered treats us as a partner rather than a problem, we notice. We are Muslim. Israel is Jewish. The world told us we should be enemies. We chose otherwise. Because dignity is thicker than dogma.
The people who refuse to die build the things the people who tried to kill them cannot live without. Build anyway. Build while they boycott. Build while they burn your flag and download your apps on phones powered by your chips.
The miracle is not that Israel survived three thousand years of attempts to destroy it. The miracle is that it survived and then chose to build the future anyway.
Next year in Jerusalem.
And this year, in Hargeisa, in gratitude.

التركيز على أرض الصومال، الاعتراف الإسرائيلي، والقضايا الاستراتيجية في البحر الأحمر لا يلغي أن الخطاب الأصلي كان عاطفياً، تعبوياً، ومتحيزاً والحقائق لا تتعارض مع هدوء الخطاب.

Israel Doesn’t Need Your Approval to Live or to Defend Itself
Strip away the noise and one truth stands: Israel is the only power in this region building a future instead of living off the past. Not the enemy of the Middle East its single best hope.
Look at what it built. A strip of desert with no oil, surrounded by states that swore to erase it, turned into a country that produces Nobel laureates, cures, and water technology that greens deserts and feeds farmers from Africa to California. Hospitals that treat Syrian children, Palestinian cancer patients, and Ukrainian refugees with no questions asked. Universities the entire region cannot match. Arabs voting. Women in command. A democracy that argues with itself out loud and survives the argument. While its neighbors export grievance, Israel exports medicine, software, and food. That is not luck. That is what a people does when it decides to build instead of blame.
And it defends all of this without losing its soul. When Israel is attacked, it answers hard, because survival demands it. But the same nation that wins its wars stands up field hospitals for its enemies’ children, is among the first into a disaster zone in Ukraine, evacuates strangers from Kabul, and offers peace to anyone willing to shake the hand. Shield and healer at once. That combination is rare in any nation. In this region it is unique.
Some states understood this early. The UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco dealt with Israel openly and look at them now: building, investing, rising. The future runs through cooperation with Israel, not war against it. Others know the same truth but can’t say it, trapped by fifty years of telling their own people Israel was the source of all their problems a story that kept the public angry and the rulers safe. So they cooperate in the dark, take the technology and the intelligence, and curse Israel on camera the next morning. Israel knows. It doesn’t flinch. Its fight is existential, and it long ago stopped needing applause from people who deal with it in secret.
The scoreboard is brutal and clear. Seven states once wrote Israel’s destruction into their constitutions; they are hollowed out today. Seven armies tried. Terror tried. Boycotts tried. The UN tried. Israel outlasted all of them not because it is fighting for land, but because it is fighting for the right of a people to exist and to build something worth protecting. For seventy-seven years it has proven the oldest law there is: builders beat destroyers, and healers outlast those who only know how to break things.
Then Israel did what no Arab capital found the courage to do in fifty years. It became the first country on earth to recognize Somaliland.  It healed our children, trained our soldiers, invested in our land, and respected our sovereignty while the rest offered us empty chairs and propaganda. Israel didn’t recognize a flag. It recognized a people who, like Israel, chose to build a future and defend it.
Somaliland chose the strong side. The real side. The side that shows up when the world looks away. Israel was first to recognize us. It will not be last. The only question left is who is honest enough to be next

Israel warned civilians before every strike. Hamas warned no one before raping and burning. We know exactly which side does what. We watched it all.
We watched October 7th in real time. Not through Al Jazeera. Through our own phones.
Hamas filmed themselves dragging women by their hair. Shooting families in their homes. Parading half-naked bodies through the streets. And they posted it themselves.
Then we watched Israel.
Calling civilians. Texting them. Dropping maps from the sky. Saying: "Leave now. We're coming."
No army in history has done that.
We know the region we live in. We know how these people operate.
The same actors who attack Israel every single day? They're the ones destabilizing our region. The same media that calls Israel a Nazi state? They're the ones feeding us propaganda for decades.
The same Arab League that condemns Israel for defending itself? They've done nothing to solve anything.
We don't need to read Israel's side of history. The facts are clear.
Israel is a tiny country surrounded by enemies who want to wipe it off the map.
Israel fights alone while the world watches.
Israel warns civilians before striking. We've seen the proof.
And the attackers? The ones who fired rockets from hospitals. The ones who hid weapons in schools. The ones who tortured their own people. We've seen what they do.
So when people tell me Israel started the war?
Israel didn't start a single war. They've been attacked every decade since 1948.
1948 — attacked the day it was born.
1967 — attacked.
1973 — attacked on Yom Kippur.
October 7th — warned them not to cross. They crossed anyway.
And every time, Israel warns civilians. Every time, the other side hides behind civilians. Every time, the world blames Israel.
We see the pattern.
The same people trying to destroy Israel are trying to destroy anyone who stands with them.
And look at Israel. Thriving. Innovating. Healing the sick. Going to space.
One side warns civilians before every strike.
The other films themselves burning families alive.
One side builds hospitals and desalination plants.
The other builds tunnels under schools.
We watched it all. With our own eyes.
I don't need anyone to tell me their side of the story.
The proof is in what we all saw.

Palestine condemned my existence. Israel healed my children.
Tell me again who the victim is.
I'm from Somaliland. We watched October 7th with our own eyes not through Al Jazeera, through our phones.
Hamas filmed themselves raping women, burning families, beheading bodies. And they posted it themselves.
Then we watched Israel. Calling civilians. Texting them. Dropping maps from the sky. "Leave now. We're coming."
No army in history has done that.
We know the region we live in. The same people attacking Israel every day are the ones destabilizing us. The same media calling Israel a Nazi state calls us traitors. The Arab League that condemns Israel abandoned us for 34 years.
And Palestine? The cause 2 billion Muslims are told to die for — used their voice to condemn us for shaking Israel's hand.
Meanwhile, look at Israel. Thriving. Glowing. Innovating. Curing diseases. Going to space.
And when our children were sick? Israel sent doctors. When our soldiers needed training? Israel trained them. When we needed a partner? Israel recognized us.
The same Israel that never started a single war.
1948 — attacked at birth.
1967 — attacked.
1973 — attacked on Yom Kippur.
Oct 7 — warned them "Don't cross" — they crossed anyway.
Every time, Israel warned civilians. Every time, the other side hid behind them. Every time, the world blamed Israel.
We see the pattern because we're living it. The same people trying to destroy Israel are trying to destroy us.

And this is the real punchline:
Al Jazeera and Arab media spent 34 years brainwashing 2 billion Muslims into one belief: "Israel is your enemy. Palestine is your cause. Hate is your duty."
Every Friday sermon. Every Ramadan special. Every Arafat speech. Every cartoon, every documentary, every news cycle.
They turned hate into worship. They made cursing Israel a religious obligation.
And it worked. 2 billion people genuinely believed Israel is the source of all evil.
Then Israel recognized Somaliland. And what did the Arab world do?
They pulled out the same card again. Condemnation. Outrage. "How dare they normalize with the enemy?"
But here's the problem we already saw the receipts.
Israel heals our children.
Israel trains our soldiers.
Israel invests in our land.
Israel respects our sovereignty.
Meanwhile, the Arab world gave us:
• 34 years of silence
• Empty chairs at the Arab League
• Al Jazeera propaganda
• drones pointed at us
• their money to destroy our reputation
The brainwashing was so deep that when Israel did what no Arab state ever did people still called it a betrayal.
That's not loyalty to Palestine. That's loyalty to a lie they've been selling since 1948.
Israel keeps winning. Thriving. Innovating. Building. Partnering.
The Arab world keeps losing. Declining. Dividing. Blaming.
And Palestine? Still a card. Still useful. Still poor. Still angry. Still waiting for a solution that will never come because the Arab world doesn't want a solution. They want an excuse.

Somaliland didn't lose a thing. Because nobody gave them anything to lose.
They built a state from nothing. And now they're becoming a regional power.
The only ones losing are the ones still writing statements instead of building ports.
