BIOBUILD uses fully bio-based building materials to achieve up to 20% reduction of energy consumption in buildings! ๐ฑ๐ชตHorizon Europe Project ๐ช๐บ #GreenFuture
๐ฟ From sawmill residue to sustainable building material
Latest updates from our project: around one tonne of sawdust is being transformed into high-value bio-based materials for construction. After drying and sieving at @SLU biomaterial plant in Sweden, the prepared wood particles will be used to develop innovative bio-composites and wallboards.
An exciting part of this work explores the use of #fungalmycelia as a natural binder, offering a renewable alternative to conventional fossil-based binders.

We have reached a new Milestone: PCM-Impregnated Flooring Ready for Production
This process has enabled the production of sufficient material to manufacture approximately 80 mยฒ of innovative flooring, demonstrating both technical feasibility and scalability.
๐ฆ The next step: impregnated lamellae are now being transported to @pervanovo for flooring production.
๐ After production, the flooring will be installed in model houses in Spain and Sweden, where its real-life thermal performance and functionality will be evaluated under different climate conditions. @UdL_info@greiaudl
