What a historical and memorable day for survivors of #FGM‼️ We were at the National Assembly to witness the consideration stage of the Women’s Amendment Bill 2023, a procedure to scrutinize, evaluate, accept or reject the clauses of the Bill. We are happy to announce that the National Assembly has officially rejected the Women’s Amendment Bill 2023 following the Speaker’s ruling after each of the clauses of the Bill was rejected by the Committee of the Whole House. We stand proud for all the contribution we have made alongside other civil society organizations, NAMs, development partners, survivors, activists and everyone that contributed immensely towards this intense journey and victory.
