Decentralized Nigeria 2.0 returns. But this isn’t another conference post. Aug 15. MUSON Shell Hall. BusinessDay called it bold. Here’s what they missed. Last year. UNILAG student. Zero connections. Zero job offers. 72 hours later? Her first role in Web3. That’s not a coincidence. That’s the design. Nova Phoenix and I don’t do panels for clout. We build rooms where doors open. 2026 changes the game. Conference. Then Gala Night. Not just talks. Handshakes that turn into deals. Who’s in that room? Founders writing the code. Regulators writing the rules. Investors writing the checks. Builders shipping at 2am. Missed DecentralizedNigeria 1.0? Let me be direct: DecentralizedNigeria 2.0 is your unfair advantage. Into Africa’s Web3 ecosystem. Now, real talk: You’ve sat through Web3 events before. Be honest. What actually made you stay till the end? A) The people B) The skills C) The deals D) Nothing. You left early. Drop A, B, C, or D below. I’m compiling answers to design DN2.0 around YOU. Full BusinessDay article tickets → first comment. Save this post. Aug 15 will be here fast. #DecentralizedNigeria #Web3 #Lagos

Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths, After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth. You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead. It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire. In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future. I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender. You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership. If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation. Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future. I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country. My young friends, this is your country. Take it back. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

"Dr. Gladys B. West played an integral role in the development of the Global Positioning System (GPS) while serving as a mathematician with Navy. Born in the poor farming community of Sutherland, Virginia, she rose from poverty despite segregation, The Great Depression, and Jim Crow laws, to become one of the first professional black women hired at the Dahlgren (Va.) Naval Proving Grounds (now Dahlgren Surface Naval Warfare Center)" She was a woman, a "black" woman She was a wife She was a mother And yet she was a mathematician who made a great impact. You see... You really have no excuse not to be successful. It's all about your choices and decisions. Adieu Doyenne ❤️

Emeka Ike hails from one of Peter Gregory Obi’s strongholds. He was singled out for slaughter; to make an example of. How did Lere Olayinka gain access to Emeka’s classified information? How was he able to access the database? Opposition must demand an immediate forensic examination of INEC’s database. Lere Olayinka has access to INEC’s backend. It only means that the Commission has been totally compromised. The rot is deeper than we thought. You will get to your polling unit—only to discover that the BVAS machine cannot read your card. You will discover that INEC & agents of the ruling party (have searched out your name, & deleted your INFO from the system). Agent provocateurs will transfer your PVC registration to a different polling unit or state. A place far away from where you are supposed to vote. Peter Obi should not take this lightly! From what we witnessed at FCT local election, INEC transferred those who voted for Obi to distant locations, far away from where they were supposed to vote. People only got to find out on the day of that local council election. On top of that, Wike declared a curfew. He prevented people from moving around. You will be surprised that voters in certain regions & places where Obi got high number of votes are being mass deleted from the database as I speak. That way, their PVCs cannot be read. Peter Obi’s stronghold is being tampered with. This is no longer a scaremongering, it’s a FACT! This is disenfranchisement on a grand scale. The above are some of the many ways that Nigerians are going to be disenfranchised—worse, restricted! The inmates have taken over the asylum. Mad men are running things now. INEC will put the lives of NYSC officials in danger. A widespread disenfranchisement like that could lead to break down of law & order. Time to fix this is now! Tomorrow might be late! If an APC urchin can have Admin access to INEC’s backbend, then nothing is impossible! Opposition must leave nothing to chance. We must deal with this issue NOW! Current INEC must be disbanded! Joash Amupitan must go!

9 years ago, a lady told me to stop wasting my life on crypto and go get a real job. I almost listened. In 2017, talking about Bitcoin in Nigeria felt like shouting into a void. People laughed. Family worried. Friends changed the topic. But a few of us kept showing up anyway — tiny meetups, campus talks, WhatsApp groups built one believer at a time. Last week at the @LunoGlobal Traders Meetup, it hit me: Nobody asks "What is Bitcoin?" anymore. Now it's regulation. Compliance. Careers. Building. The future of Web3 in Africa. That's a generation growing up. And Luno? Still there. Still listening. 9 years later. Platforms build products. Communities build trust. But the ones who stay when nobody's clapping earn something money can't buy — loyalty. To the early believers — the doubted, the laughed at, the "go get a real job" crowd: We didn't just watch an industry grow. We grew with it. 🔁

Yesterday, May 19th, in Abuja, I attended the Presidential screening organised by our party, which took over two and a half hours. They carefully reviewed all my documents, including my degree certificates, NYSC credentials, and age declarations. During the process, I also addressed questions regarding my vision for a new Nigeria and the type of leadership our nation urgently needs right now. Following this, I was cleared and received the presidential nomination form I had previously paid for. I would like to commend the screening committee, led by former governor Sam Egwu, for their thorough and professional approach. Additionally, I appreciate our party's leadership for upholding the democratic process. A New Nigeria is POssible. - PO

You don’t make generational wealth at a stake, if you make it at one trial then you would still lose it same way, wealth is built through compounding.. if that one particular trade determines how wealthy you become then a lot is already at stake for you.
