This is Beth, an Associate practitioner (AP) in Blood Sciences, one of 8 APs in Blood Sciences. They check almost all samples processed; around 4000 a day for the right tests on the correct patients in a timely manner. #BiomedicalScienceDay2019 #AtTheHeartOfHealthcare

Following #BiomedicalScienceDay2019 - Blood bank ensure all bloods transfused are as safe as possible, to save or improve quality of life. In 2018 more than 23,000 group and saves were processed with 8,670 transfusions, 16 were emergencies. That's a lot of lives saved! #thankyou
