One thing everyone who puts in the work to support and save Palestinian lives knows all too well is how difficult it can be at times to get through that final push when fundraisers near their goals. I've met people with 2nd and 3rd degree burns from how hot the cement gets during heatwaves. A baby died from the cold in the rain last year. 6 unhoused people die every day. Taking pillows and blankets from people without enough shelter beds available is just murderous.

I have to sit with the fact that because I’m American, my daily life is upheld by the oppression of poor people here, and globally. It’s possible to be a victim and a villain at the same time. To be powerful and powerless at the same time. It still doesn’t absolve your vote.
