It blows my mind when I hear from a parent who says they had no choice but to put their 7 year old boy on psychotropic drugs to treat “ADHD.”
“We tried everything,” they always say.
Really? You tried everything? He’s seven. Did you try giving him a chance to grow and mature and come into his own without mind altering drugs? It’s literally impossible that you “tried everything” when he’s still in elementary school. The one thing you didn’t try was giving him time. And that is almost always the solution to any parenting challenge. Keep working with your child, and give him time.
Never forget what Adam Schiff did to this country with his lies about Russian collusion. The damage he caused is immeasurable.
It's to America's great shame that he is still in office.
We know Amish kids don’t have the chronic illnesses of the public at large. Most of us assume it’s the food. Maybe the vaccinations.
But the Amish also don’t choose mates the same as the rest of the public. I wonder if that matters.
Hypothesis: What if non-Amish humans started picking mates in the modern era with too much in common, simply because we can?
For example, Perplexity says two engineers are more likely than non-engineers to have a kid on the spectrum. The Amish don’t have that risk. The Amish engineers don’t meet each other at their cubicle jobs and fall in love. They don’t have engineers or cubicles.
I still think food is the main culprit with chronic illnesses. Maybe meds too. But I wouldn’t rule out mate selection differences.

We're coming out of a 15 year run of being afraid of our own shadow. It infected and paralyzed our culture, our society, our politics, our economics, and our view of technology. It's over, at least in the US. 🇺🇸
