Excited for day 2! Day 1 was such a great day - I've been dwelling on various themes that came out including: hope, unknowability of marine spaces/organisms, the tensions between fragile oceans and promissory oceans, layered temporalities and charisma. So much to unpack! 🌊🌊

Gave a talk @blue_extinction this afternoon about marine extinctions and biodiversity data and there is no happy ending, I couldn't dredge up a note of hope because there's too much to do and no infrastructure to do it. #BlueExtinction
