Personally, it's because I consider any fic that makes it out of WIP status and reaches posting to be a success, no matter what the metrics on it are.
I had a *3 year* block where I could barely even poke at WIPs and nothing got posted, no idea why.
So to me, posted = success.

.. a sleepy self translation of the second image / dan heng's ring description. had my friend help out too to check it was readable enough / translating of some parts bcs it is long 😔
I know someone will ask so just saying this in advance, the ring is made out of 925 silver (although I can't say much about it because I barely know anything about jewelry)
