Yesterday morning, I had the pleasure of being invited by
@LFCFoundation to Holly Lodge Girls' College in Liverpool to speak to a group of art students, aged 15–18, about tattooing and my path into the profession.
When I was their age, there was no chance you would have seen a tattoo artist standing in a school, talking to students about tattooing as a potential career path. Back then, tattooing wasn't viewed as the art form it is today.
So, to be standing in a school yesterday, shining a light on the profession I love, sharing my experiences, and encouraging such a talented group of young artists to follow their passions was incredibly special for me.
As part of the session, I gave the students a brief from a fictional client and asked them to create a tattoo design based on it. The creativity, imagination, and thought that went into their work was great to see, and I enjoyed watching them bring their ideas to life.
A huge well done to all of these talented young ladies who have bright futures ahead in whatever they do.
Thank you to the art department for being so open to tattooing being discussed in an educational setting, and of course, thank you to the LFC Foundation for inviting me back to work alongside them once again.
