And so it ends. Firefox has fallen. The bright star that once saved us from the tyranny and madness of Internet Explorer, has given up on its mission theverge.com/tech/845216/moz…

only to become another piece of bloatware like so many others emanating from the moats of corporations that have completely forgotten how to serve their users. Let's all hold a minute of silence for the end of an era.

Hey @crashplan, your "Licence plan" page on the user account dashboard has an error, doesn't fully load, and this has been preventing me from updating my payment information. I already contacted you with no success. I'm about to get my account deleted.

Can someone explain to me how the fuck we let this shitshow become the most used programming platform on the planet? I'm running pnpm install on Linux, on a 64 bit AMD CPU. WTF is this?

Hey @OVHcloud, why do you offer a Portuguese version of your website but no way to choose Portugal as a country when registering an account? I'm trying to give you my hard-earned money and I'm stuck in a registration screen that has all the countries in the world except Portugal.

And also no way to reach support, of course. Which is a huge red flag in and of itself.

OpenAI, who profited insane amounts of money from essentially using the entire world's intelectual property, is now complaining that another company did the same to them. Priceless irony. theverge.com/news/601195/ope…

Before someone jumps at this, I know OpenAI is not financially profitable yet. You know what I meant, drop the strawman arguments.

We needed to stay below 1.5°C warming to avoid global catastrophe and an unlivable planet for our kids. World leaders pinky promised to try to not exceed 3.1°C, meaning we will go beyond that. And no one is freaking out about this? What am I missing? news.slashdot.org/story/24/1…

Can we, as a society, finally stop acting like LLMs (or as too many people call it, "AI") can reason? And therefore, can we finally stop trusting LLMs to make decisions or even "teach" us? arstechnica.com/ai/2024/10/l…

If you use a recent version of Debian, Ubuntu or one of their derivatives, and have seen a warning like "Key is stored in legacy trusted.gpg keyring" when using APT, here's how to properly fix it: borfast.com/blog/2024/07/24/…

Why do people give out your phone number, and publish photos and videos of you, your family, your house, your car, on social media, without even mentioning it to you? Why do they react as if you were offending them, when you ask them to not do that? What happened to privacy?
