"The most important thing about APIs is not their operations. At least, not for potential API consumers. The thing they value the most is understanding what capabilities an API offers." apichangelog.substack.com/p/…

I'm experimenting with having my own MCP CIMD metadata file with my public keys and my client information on my brunopedro.com domain. Every time I want to connect to an MCP server that supports CIMD, I can use my own client information.

"Consumers can only use what they can understand. If an API is too complex, people steer away from it. If it’s too simple and it lacks depth, people can’t use it to fix their problems." apichangelog.substack.com/p/…

"GhostLock can completely bypass detection because it doesn’t use any writes or encryption. Instead, it looks like a simple file indexer." This and more at the API Changelog newsletter: apichangelog.substack.com/p/… #security #network #dos

"The only reaction you receive from API consumers is through support when they complain. Face it, you have never received their feedback during the design stage. You simply have no idea how new consumers would feel when using your API." apichangelog.substack.com/p/…

Can robots use APIs? Did you know that ROS is one of the most used robotics standards, with organizations like BMW, Boeing, Caterpillar, John Deere, using it? I didn't, until I learned that AsyncAPI now supports ROS! Find this and other insights here: apichangelog.substack.com/p/…

"'No AI without APIs' doesn’t make sense. At least in a world where agents don’t need to communicate with the outside. You can have all the APIs you want. If your AI system can’t reach them, they’re useless." apichangelog.substack.com/p/…

I'm launching a new product soon: Handinger! While working on @fika_bar I built a cheap way to fetch metadata, screenshots and markdown content from websites. I've just extracted it from fika and productized it. Try it out and bring me feedback! handinger.com/

With APIs, it’s not easy to go from having just an idea and go through the whole lifecycle to something that’s running and deployed in production.

Whoever understands how that’s done—and can do it—has an advantage over those who specialize in just one or a few steps of the process.
