There’s a funny story about Emam Ashour. People often criticise him that he’s a local champion in Egyptian league, and rightly so to an extent. Do you know Midtjylland scouted this guy from Zamalek, when he got to Denmark, the coach that approved his transfer was sacked and then he had an injury. He requested to go back to Egypt for rehabilitation which was approved. After the season ended, pre-season camp resumed, this guy refused to go back to Europe😂😂😂. Midtjylland was forced to sell him to Al Ahly, I don’t think he played 10 games in Denmark before he ran back home. Many of them are usually home sick, that’s why bulk of their players don’t leave their local league, the league is very good anyways, so it’s understandable.
