Dangerous DUI-related crashes in Price, Utah
Price City Police Department reminding residents that nothing good happens after midnight AND to plan ahead with a designated driver.
π Two recent DUI-related crashes resulted in significant damage. In both situations; the drivers left the scene after the crash and were later found/arrested.

Workers were collecting trash and other items along the hillside on Victory Road, very close to where the #Sandhurst2Fire burned on Wednesday.
Salt Lake City Police confirmed to me they were working with state and county agencies on clean up after the fire and offer resources to folks who unlawfully live in the area. Itβs not clear if any citations were issued today.

π₯ ARSON ARREST: Tooele County Sheriff's Office Arrests Stockton (Utah) Man in Connection with Multiple Wildfires
Tooele County Sheriff's Office responded to two reported fires in Tooele County on Wednesday night (6/10/26), one in the Lake Point area and a second in Stockton that threatened nearby structures (see photo).
According to TCSO, during the investigation, deputies identified a suspect who was observed in the area of the Stockton fire shortly before it ignited. Surveillance footage, witness statements, vehicle information, and other evidence gathered during the investigation linked the suspect to the fires.
Timothy West, a 39-year-old male from the Stockton area, was arrested and booked into the Tooele County Detention Center for three counts of arson, one count of causing a catastrophe, and one count of damaging a jail.
π«The Tooele County Sheriff's Office is asking residents and businesses in the Stockton area, as well as anyone who may have been traveling through the Stockton (10:30 PM) or Lake Point (8:45 PM) areas around the time of the fires, to review surveillance or security camera footage and report any suspicious activity or relevant information to Tooele County Dispatch at (435) 882-5600.

#SouthMountainFire Update: Fire remained very active overnight with wind gusts up to 55 mph. Estimated at 1,000β2,000 acres. Additional ground & air resources are arriving today.
